Who Am I?

James is like the handyman you always call because you know he can do it all. AP style? Most certainly. Want a digital campaign? Hashtag: No problem. Need a story? He’s earned binders of them. End results drive him. He sees stories in the numbers to help shape creative. He was born with salon-quality hair, but he’s earned all the rest.

He is currently the primary media liaison for IMA, one of the largest organizations of its kind in the country. IMA is regularly interviewed on emerging insurance trends like cyber coverage, ACA’s evolution and workplace culture. Outside of IMA, he volunteers as a national spokesperson for the American Red Cross and serves on a number of different committees for Mile High United Way.

With 10 years of PR expertise, he’s earned media locally and around the world. His placements include the Wall Street Journal, CNN, USA Today, U.S. News & World Report, the Chicago Tribune, the BBC and business journals across the country.

Some of his top skills include tier-one media relations, crisis communications, executive coaching, community engagement and integrated campaign development. Industry expertise includes B2B financial services, tourism and hospitality, government affairs and nonprofits.

When James isn’t working with media from around the world, he’s driving with the sunroof open with his wife and two dogs.
